Since its beginnings in 1849, WG Raven Funerals have tended to the needs of Melbourne families, by providing genuine and caring funeral services to generation after generation.


Frequently, we arrange funerals for families, who can recall our courteous and professional service, when we did their grandparents' and great grandparents' funerals. Families return to us because they trust our experience and advice and because we are a small Australian family owned company rather than a slick high priced larger company.

The association with Lonergan Funerals began in the 1980s, when Gerry Lonergan took over the old firm, but the focus of the company continues to give total attention to detail and sincere care of our clients' families.

A "trademark" of our company is the beautiful navy blue hearses and cars which are often admired because they give that aire of dignified elegance, which befits the occasion of a funeral.

Our staff have had decades of experience in the funeral industry and because over 70% of our funerals are from previous client families or recommendation, they become well known and sought after.
